“The pen is mightier than the sword.”
Edward Bulwer-Lytton
You might be wondering how a sword, one of the most recognizable and well-used weapons in human history, could be placed next to the word “healing.” Is this another example of an oxymoron attempting clever marketing? The short answer is: healing swords are your best defense against the war that wages around you every day.
Our world, with society’s impossible standards and less-than-just norms, natural disasters, pandemics, and freak accidents, is constantly hurtling pain, heartbreak, and destruction at us. We are allowed to arm ourselves in defense of such attacks, and the pen (or keyboard) is the mightiest weapon ever made. By taking up writing as a form of defense, we allow ourselves to heal and become our own heroes. This is the journey I’m asking you to take. One where metal swords are laid down for words and words become swords of mettle on the path to healing and justice.
“Your fear was greater than your desire, but now your desire is greater than your fear, and that’s transformation.”
